Welcome to Amanda + Andrew’s beautiful Marble Falls Wedding! This wedding features an epic bridesmaids reveal, a pair of really sweet first looks, and one of our favorite veil shots ever!
This was our first time working in Marble Falls, and we found ourselves wondering aloud if we shouldn’t just pick up and move to this quiet little town. Not only is there a thriving tourism industry and numerous wedding venues there, but it’s also just a beautiful scenic area with excellent access to the Colorado River. We’ll admit, we may have done some window shopping on Zillow when we first got there!
Amanda + Andrew met when they were both students at Harding University. They joined the same A capella singing group and traveled in the same friend circles, before eventually falling for each other and dating later that year.
Though Amanda’s family is from Magnolia and Andrew’s is from the Dallas area, they chose Marble Falls as the place they would get married. Marble Falls Church of Christ was Amanda’s grandparent’s church, and the place that Amanda’s parents got married, so it’s a place of great significance in their family. A second generation wedding at that church – how cool is that?
Our day started at a nearby condo where Amanda and her bridesmaids were getting ready. From the moment the door opened we knew this was going to be a special group. These girls absolutely loved Amanda. Their excitement for her and anticipation of the wedding day filled the room with a palpable, joyful energy.
Amanda’s mother Cheryl helped her into her dress, and then Amanda’s girls saw her in her dress for the first time. The reveal was priceless. Such a powerful moment. There were tears and laughter and all sorts of joyful exclamations. Lacey may or may not have cried a bit (and not for the last time on this day!).
From there we made the quick drive to the church. Andrew and his groomsmen were already there, dressed to the nines and passing the time by playing pool. It was time for first looks.
Amanda’s dad Shawn had such an adorable reaction, surveying his daughter with a look that was more awe than anything else. Next, Andrew got to see his bride for the first time. Grinning from ear to ear, I believe his exact words were, “You look like a princess!”
Thanks to an early reception end time, we had the amazing opportunity to take Amanda + Andrew for some “just married” couple portraits at Lakeside Park, a beautiful waterfront park in Marble Falls. This place offered beautiful views of the Colorado River, and it was the perfect setting to capture the joy and excitement that was radiating from the new Mr. & Mrs. Musselman!
And her veil. Oh my goodness we were in heaven! Thanks to some perfect wind conditions, Amanda’s gorgeous veil, and of course the natural chemistry she and Andrew share on-camera, we got some of our favorite veil shots ever!
A huge thank you is due to Jana, our wedding coordinator for the day! Jana, you were so kind and helpful and on top of the details – we appreciate all your hard work!
And a big thanks to the wedding party for being so kind and welcoming and just fun! Ya’ll really were a special group and we were so glad we got to spend the day with you all. 🙂
