Romantic Alexander at Creek Road Wedding
Our lucky streak of Dripping Springs wedding continues this week with a return to the Alexander at Creek Road. Readers of the L+L Blog may remember that we visited the Alexander on this exact same day in 2021, to photograph the wedding (or technically one year anniversary party) of the delightful Lauren + Trevor. Returning to the Alexander is always such a treat. Not only is it just a beautiful property in general, but the team who works there make the experience even better. Melissa, the onsite planner, is such a joy to work with and truly does a fantastic job of coordinating between all the vendors, helping the day run smoothly, and most importantly supporting and celebrating her couples. Right up top we gotta say it, shoutout to Melissa for all her hard work on this awesome day!
The Importance of June 4th
For Bradi + Peyton, June 4th is an important day. They originally met on June 4th of 2020, during the height of the COVID pandemic. They spent a lot of time together and fell in love, though there was a strong connection, Bradi didn’t want to rush things too much. “If you ask me to marry you within the first year of knowing you,” she said to Peyton, “I’ll say no.”
Peyton took that warning to heart. So, on June 4th, 2021 (aka the 366th day of knowing Bradi) he took her to Zilker Park and asked her to marry him. Clearly it was a task for him to wait even that long to be engaged to his future bride! It was only fitting that their wedding be on June 4th, 2022, solidifying the importance of that day for the rest of their lives.
Little Slices of Austin
Since Austin is home to so many special places to Bradi + Peyton, they decided to incorporate little slices of the city into their wedding where possible. Rather than being numbered, the tables at their reception were named after places that were special to Bradi + Peyton like Zilker Park, Cosmic Coffee (one of their favorite date night locations) or the Moody Theater.
At the ceremony site, the processional path was decorated with vintage rugs courtesy of the folks at Bee Lavish Rentals. Such a nice touch to help put a little Austin grooviness into this scenic ceremony underneath a towering oak tree. We loved it!
And what homage to Austin would be complete without a little live music? Towards the end of the night, Peyton picked up his guitar, stepped up to the mic, and surprised his bride with a serenade to end the evening. It was so awesome!
