A Stunning Mae’s Ridge Wedding || Maddie + Tyler

Welcome to Maddie + Tyler’s absolutely stunning Mae’s Ridge wedding! Maddie + Tyler are one of those couples who just radiate a caring and playful love for one another that’s just… the stinkin sweetest. There’s no other way to say it!

Mae’s Ridge

My goodness, there’s so much to say about this drop-dead-gorgeous venue. Mae’s Ridge proclaims that it’s more than a venue, it’s an experience, and we have to say we completely agree.

From the moment you pull in through the front gate of the 28 acre property, you can feel the sophisticated elegance blend with the scenic views of the texas hill country in a truly impressive way. It’s no surprise the owner, Joell, is an interior designer. Everything about Mae’s Ridge feels purposeful.

If you’re planning a Mae’s Ridge wedding, you have a few different options for ceremony locations. Maddie + Tyler chose the beautiful Oak Grove, which is perfectly aligned with the setting sun to create some truly gorgeous glow as you’re coming down the aisle, assuming the weather allows (and on this day, it definitely did!).

And on top of that, The Flower Girl created some absolutely stunning floral arrangements for the day, which really complimented the beautiful modern and classic aesthetic at Mae’s Ridge.

Introductions + Details

Like we do on all wedding days, we started off the day by greeting Maddie and introducing ourselves to the bridal party. We usually leave our camera’s in the bag for the first 15 minutes or so. It’s so helpful to get to chat, meet the wedding party members and get to know each other a bit before we start snapping photos, especially if there are some last minute wedding day jitters. We totally get that!

From there we started photographing Maddie’s bridal details like her invitation suite, shoes, bouquet and her absolutely gorgeous Pronovias dress. Lee then met up with Tyler and the groomsmen for some portraits and a short while later, Maddie was walking down the aisle arm in arm with her dad, Eddie.

Ceremony + Reception

The ceremony was brief but perfect. Thanks to the fantastic weather, golden hour was truly and wonderfully golden, and the wedding party, family and couple portraits certainly show the glow. And we just have to say how impressed we were with Tyler, who was such a kind and attentive groom!

It was so sweet. Time and time again we watched him gently comb the hair from Maddie’s face, or pick up her veil if it were in danger of getting dirty. His care and thoughtfulness were on full display, and we found it to be incredibly endearing.

After some really touching formal dances and toasts from our Maid of Honor and Best Man, the party started in earnest, and Maddie and her crew took to the dance floor. We had so much fun capturing all the joy and celebration Maddie + Tyler shared with their loved ones – it was a beautiful night!

Your kindness and care for one another was on full display on your wedding day, and any couple who has such affection and tenderness for one another is surely destined for a lifetime of love! We so enjoyed getting to spend the day with you and your loved ones, and are so grateful you invited us to be a part of your wedding journey. We hope you have the BEST time in Maui for your honeymoon, and we wish you all the best in your lives together in the years to come!!
