A Black Tie Wedding at Villa Antonia

Villa Antonia has always had a special place in our hearts, because it was one of our top choices when we were planning our own wedding more than a decade ago. Built in 1999 and under new leadership as of January 2022, Villa Antonia is a staple in the Austin wedding industry, and for good reason. It just feels magical when you’re there.

Last year we were fortunate enough to participate in a styled editorial session at Villa Antonia, and the images we took there are some of our favorites ever! Check it out here if you haven’t already.

A Delightful Pattern

One delightful pattern we’ve noticed over the years is that a lot of our L+L Couples are high school sweet hearts just like us, and that’s the case for Mackenzie + Sean too! Plus they are cat-lovers, which we discovered during their engagement session when an outgoing neighborhood cat insisted on getting some pets from them between photos.

And if that weren’t enough, Mackenzie + Sean have the most adorable proposal story. We won’t recount the whole thing, but it takes place in Maui which was where we took our babymoon last year! We have a lot in common!

Emotional and Elegant

One of the highlights of this wedding day was the first look. During their consultation call both M+S mentioned that this moment was something they were excited about, so we knew it was going to be really special. Sure enough, it was magic. Look at Sean’s face when he see’s her for the first time!

The ceremony was beautiful and elegant. Mackenzie walked down the aisle to Somewhere Only We Know (one of our favorite songs!) and now we were the ones trying not to get emotional! The reception was lively and fun, and Mackenzie + Sean spent their first few hours of marriage celebrating with the people they love most. It was a perfect night!
