A Playful Wedding in the Texas Hill Country
At our wedding (almost 12 years ago, how crazy is that!?) we looked around the room during the reception and really took in the fact that all of these people from all different walks of life were there for one reason: to love, support and celebrate us.
That’s what makes every wedding special and meaningful to us – getting a front row seat as our L+L couples and their loved ones laugh, dance and celebrate the start of something wonderful. This wedding was no exception!
High School Sweeties
The list of reasons why we love Sydney + Scottie are basically endless. High school sweethearts (like us), check! Travel junkies (also like us), check! Animal lovers (they have a husky and 2 pit bull mixes), yep, just swap out the canines for felines and that’s us too! We remember during their consultation call having a “did we just become best friends?” moment, and yeah, we pretty much did.
Time to Play & Party
Officiated by Sydney’s sister-in-law Nicole, the ceremony was as beautiful as it was brief. After all, Sydney + Scottie have been together since high school. They were ready to do the dang thing, and they didn’t waste any time getting it done!
This day had SO many wonderful, playful moments! From the “Flower Man” walking strutting his way down the aisle, to Sydney + Scottie doing the Dirty Dancing lift “move” on the dance floor later that night, we had a blast celebrating with all of these awesome folks.
And how cool is that Photo Booth?! Shoutout to Peachy Keen Photo Camper for one of the grooviest photo booth set ups we’ve seen!

Thank you to our wedding party for the day! Not only were you all troopers despite the heat during portrait time but you all did such a great job cheering for and supporting Sydney + Scottie all day long.
