This winter wedding at Camp Lucy was the perfect start to 2023! Camp Lucy is such a dreamy wedding venue, and with a couple as wonderful as Caitlin and Noah we had no shortage of romance, joyful energy and straight up dancin’ to keep us warm. It was such a fun day!
Camp Lucy is a gorgeous venue. There’s really no other way to say it. Part of what makes this venue so beautiful is how well cared-for and maintained the grounds are. This winter wedding proves that even when much of Texas’ scenery can be brown and drab, the grounds at Camp Lucy practically sing with color. If you factor in the scenic views from the great lawn, the old-world charm of Ian’s Chapel and the beautiful oak trees that provide ample shade, Camp Lucy truly is a stellar venue that shines year round.
After meeting while students at the University at Texas, Caitlin and Noah started dating and quickly fell for each other. When the time came to pop the question, Noah took Caitlin to Enchanted Rock and asked her to be his wife as the sunset. What a romantic place to get engaged! As you can tell, they are a couple of fellow nature-lovers like us!
Caitlin told us one of the things she was most looking forward to was walking down the aisle with her Dad, who she described as one of the best guys in the world. She anticipated their wedding would be an emotional and touching day, and she was right. Her dad’s speech had the whole room fighting back tears us included! Such a sweet moment.
For his highlight reel, Noah was focused on one thing and one thing only: the moment the whole room turned to watch the love of his life walk through the door. Well said, Noah – it was a powerful moment indeed!
For their first dance, Caitlin and Noah chose Lover (First Dance Remix) by Taylor Swift, and it was such a perfect choice for these two. It’s been stuck in our heads ever since!
During the reception the dance floor was packed with lots of sing-along songs from the likes of Taylor Swift, Fallout Boy and The Killers. By the end of the night, though, it was clear that Taylor Swift was the queen on that dance floor. Caitlin, Noah and all their friends belted out hit after hit, and it was just so much fun to capture!
