Welcome to Allie and Luis’ fall wedding at Wish Well House! There is so much to love about this gorgeous wedding day, from the lilac and plum color palette, to the stunning bridal details and the fun, joyous energy of the happy couple – this was definitely one of our highlights of 2022!

A Perfect Fall Day at Wish Well House

Allie and Luis tied the knot in early October on a perfect fall day! There’s a reason they schedule Austin City Limits the first two weeks of October – the weather is just gorgeous!

Wish Well House burst onto the Austin area wedding scene in 2021, quickly making a name for itself as a premiere wedding venue and for good reason. Couples who seek that perfect yet elusive combination of modern aesthetic and historic feel need look no further than this downtown Georgetown mansion turned wedding venue.

Wish Well brands itself as a venue that blends “historical character with modern sophistication”, and as far as these photographers are concerned, it definitely succeeds in that mission. Everything about the venue design is intentional, and from a photographic perspective the space is a dream.

Large windows make both the bridal suite and cocktail lounge area beautifully bright and airy, and the lush courtyard offers options for couple portraits as well as several different layouts for ceremony set ups. All of this right off Georgetown’s historic downtown square – so convenient!

An Event to Remember & ZuZu’s Petals

In addition to choosing a perfect day for their fall wedding at Wish Well House, Allie + Luis chose an excellent vendor team to help bring their wedding day to life. Shamika Johnson from an Event to Remember served as wedding coordinator and was such a delight to work with both in advance and on the wedding day itself.

The wonderfully named ZuZu’s Petals (It’s a Wonderful Life is a family favorite in our household) served as florist and did a fantastic job bringing the plum, lilac and sage color palette to life. They even worked with us to deliver some blooms a bit early so we could incorporate them into Allie’s bridal details. So thankful for the outstanding collaboration we had from this vendor team!

A Touching First Look & A Sneaker Swap

Allie + Luis had one of the most touching first looks we can remember, seeing each other for the first time that day on the checkered steps of Wish Well’s courtyard. It was such a special moment as nerves and anticipation gave way into joy and relief at finally getting to be together as the rest of the day came rushing towards them. We can totally relate with that feeling!

Later, after the ceremony we took some couple portraits in the courtyard as well as on the western side of Wish Well to take advantage of golden hour. We had so much fun capturing that “just married” feeling with these two – just look how in love they are!

One of our favorite memories of this wedding day was the grand entrance. Both bride and groom swapped their formal shoes for sneakers during cocktail hour, and they danced their way into the reception to the delighted cheers of onlookers, showing off their sneakers all the while. We loved it!

This was SUCH a fun day, you two! We are so glad we got to join in the celebration with you both. Ya’ll had such a fun, supportive and gracious group of loved ones there to support you both, and we were honored to be along for the ride to capture all the joy. Thanks for trusting in us to be your wedding photo team – it means the world to us! We hope to cross paths with you again sometime soon!!
