An Elegant Woodbine Mansion Wedding || London + Christian

Feb 13, 2022

Before the ceremony began, both London and Christian had their close friends, family members and pastors gather around them to pray over the start of their marriage. It’s clear that these two not only love each other very much, but are supported by a community that loves them deeply as well.

Woodbine Mansion in Round Rock is such a special and magical place for a wedding, and London + Christian’s wedding was absolutely no exception! Originally built in 1900, this home was purchased by the Levin family in 2018 and quickly renovated into one of the most stunning wedding venues in Central Texas.

Though it is certainly rich in Texas history and southern elegance, Woodbine Mansion also has a special personal significance for London. Her family lives just a few minutes down the road from Woodbine, and has her whole life, so she has memories of walking and driving by the mansion everyday and even trick-or-treated there as a kid before it became a wedding venue. Needless to say when she and Christian got engaged, the venue was an easy choice – it had to be Woodbine!

You may recognize London + Christian from their incredible downtown Austin engagement session from earlier this year, which featured an amazing classic car AND the absolutely knock-out chemistry these two share. We have been so looking forward to their wedding day ever since, and we’re so excited to get to share it with you all!

We arrived at the venue on a hot July morning and quickly got to work photographing bridal details and some behind the scenes candid moments. Honestly, Woodbine Mansion has some of the most gorgeous getting ready spaces we’ve ever seen, made even more photo-friendly by large windows and loads of natural light. Pinch us. We’re in heaven!

Early on we got to meet some of the essential members of London + Christian’s wedding day crew, including London’s parents, April + Derick. Right off the top we have to extend a big warm thank you and shout out to these stellar parents of the bride. These two are such warm and inviting people, and we were so thankful for all their kindness, encouragement and support throughout the day!

Soon Christian and his groomsmen arrived, bringing with them good vibes, What-a-burger and no shortage of jokes. Lead by Christian and his Best Man, Vince, they set about getting ready for the big day!

A short while later, London + Christian met outside the mansion for a first touch and letter reading that had both of us wiping away tears. It was clear that poor Christian could barely keep himself from turning around to see his bride, but he stuck with the plan and saved that moment for the ceremony – though we could tell it wasn’t easy!!

With golden sunlight peeking through the trees, London + Christian’s ceremony began, and in keeping with their classic-car-themed engagement session, Derick drove his daughter to the ceremony site in another beautiful classic ride. A few moments later London + Christian said their vows and a new marriage was born.

Under the towering trees on the back lawn of the mansion, London + Christian celebrated with their friends, family and the community of loved ones who gathered together to support them. They danced, they sang and they even enjoyed some delicious Amy’s Ice Cream to top it all off!

Quick PSA – everyone should have Amy’s Ice Cream at their reception – this should be a new tradition because Amy’s is life!!

We have to give a special thanks to so many people who made this day the wonderful celebration that it was! A big thank you to Betsy from In the Details Event Planning for helping to keep the day running smooth, Paige from Woodbine, Courtney from Coneflower Designs (unbelievable work!), April + Derick, Jamie, Vince, Mara, Liberty, Alexis, and our 3rd wheel for the day Hallie – thank you all so much for helping to make this the thrilling and joyous day that it was!

London + Christian – what can we say that hasn’t already been said? You two are such awesome people – your chemistry and love for each other is infectious in the best way, and we are so thankful we got the opportunity to celebrate the start of your marriage with you two. Throughout your wedding day we got to see first hand how you two are such a perfect fit, encouraging and supporting and helping each other, like it’s already second nature. It’s a beautiful thing, and we’re excited to continue to cheer you on from afar and see all the great things in store in your lives together. Congratulations!!

With all the love,

L+L
