LONDON + CHRISTIAN || A Romantic Rooftop Engagement Session with a Classic Car

Can you IMAGINE our excitement when London asked if it would be okay for us to incorporate a classic car into her engagement session?

Um, HECK YES!!

Between this awesome classic car (a Shelby Cobra like the one seen in Ford vs. Ferrari in case you were wondering), London’s stunning Sherri Hill dress from Z Couture, and the romantic, playful vibe she and Christian have, this session was just a blast!

London and Christian are the sweetest couple – they got engaged earlier this year at Red Bud Aisle after a romantic canoe date on Lake Austin, and when we heard the story we knew we were a perfect fit to be their photographers! We love spending time in nature and have definitely gone on our fair share of canoe dates, so we clicked with them right away!

An incredibly talented model who just glows for the camera, London had such amazing ideas for this session, and of course we were more than happy to collaborate with her to turn this into an engagement session unlike any other!

We decided to meet up at The Long Center for the Performing Arts so we could get a variety of different environments and textures early in the session before finishing up on a rooftop for the classic car shots.

Thankfully, Lee and I believe in having back-ups on back-ups on back-ups, because BOTH of our planned rooftop garages were closed! Not to worry, we had a few other options lined up just in case, and one of them ended up being the PERFECT spot (any guesses which garage this is?).

And a special shoutout to our groom, Christian! He was SUCH a great sport during this session! Past and present L+L Couples know our motto for engagement sessions: 2 things that are always allowed – kisses and belly laughs. With a great attitude and the occasional zombie noise, Christian made sure we got lots of BOTH, and it was so much fun! And when it was his turn to “smolder” for the camera, Christian knocked that out of the park too!

London + Christian, we are SO excited for your wedding and so thankful we got to get to know you two better during this AMAZING session! You both have such a great vibe and such a fun dynamic, and we’re just thankful to be along for the ride as you start this adventure of marriage!

With all the love,

L+L

P.S. Special thanks to Jeff from Mosing Motor Cars for letting us borrow this amazing Shelby Cobra for the day. We appreciate you!

Thanks so much, April! We had such a BLAST with them! Such a fun day! Can’t wait for the wedding!! :)))

  2. Tobin Bortner says:

Love their idea to use the classic car in this session. Where do I begin? Idk
I’ll say this: the license plate is a Texas plate, of course, which is great! (black and white doesn’t distract from what is going on in the photo)
But the plate itself, DRV HPY – drive happy, NOTHING, repeat, nothing more needs to be said. . . may this couple (the whole series captures this) may this couple ALWAYS drive happy!

  3. Lisa Bortner says:

Wow! Love all of these, but my favorite is the one where you captured them in the rear view mirror. Your work is just stunning!
